SitaRam Rajya not just Ram Rajya

Gandhiji in his entire life advocated for establishment of Ram Rajya in India. The sacred name of Ram is not used here just as Maryadapurushottam Ram but it has much more deep meaning and understanding. Gandhiji not only wanted prosperity for the last man at the last mile but also a land where a man is a owner of himself as was the case at the time of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. He advocated a land of free living where people have power to take decisions for their own. Therefore he put forth the concept of Ram Rajya which also find place in his book Gram Swarajya.

Ram Manohar Lohiya, a pro poor leader, went ahead of Gandhiji and said that people in India need SitaRam Rajya. The significance of  having Sita before Ram is that it follows our tradition and shows completeness of Ram as he is incomplete without Sita, his Wife. This can be seen in every household of our country. And looking at present scenario when Indian customs and tradition are withering away from our society it needs some more attention and understanding.

Having said that I want draw your attention on a very popular and old system of ours which everyone of us must be familiar of. A man in a household bears the responsibility to earn money ( most of the time ) , but what happens after that. I guess in at least 80 % of households in India the earning member gave this money to eldest female member of the family may be his wife or mother. Why is it so..? Why a man who earn money bearing so much of difficulties and pain outside easily handed over this earning to "her".. ?

Doesn't it shows the greatness of women that a man relied on her even after financing whole domestic activities , he believes his money is more safe in his mother's or wife's hands. Doesn't it shows that a women in every house hold bears much more responsibility than we usually think of. Automatically She became the authority to spend money earned by someone else. A women's place cant be taken by a male member. That's why we consider her as Lakshmi , Goddess of Wealth ( Well I will talk about her being Saraswati and Annapurna later on ). This is our Indian culture so systematically arranged and articulated. This is our Incredible India..
